ConsentLit Research Study Learn More

McMaster University has implemented the new module: It Takes All of Us: Addressing gender-based and sexual violence on campus. This research is being done to determine if this new module is perceived to be effective for the student population at McMaster University and if there are recommendations to supplement this module in order to optimize students’ knowledge gain from this module.

The overall goal of this study is to evaluate how students and expert stakeholders who have completed the It Takes All of Us Module perceive the potential effectiveness of the program on student literacy (attitudes, awareness of supports/resources and knowledge) regarding consent, sexual health and violence and student skills, confidence, and intended behaviours as bystanders and participants. Furthermore, the study seeks to answer the question of what students and stakeholders would recommend to better meet student needs and preferences in sexual health promotion and sexual violence prevention alongside this module.
